The vision for the establishment of Regent University College of Science and Technology was conceived after Dr. Larbi’s unilateral removal from Central University College in 2003, where he had functioned as its founding President. Three months after this event, he considered various options and in the final analysis, became abundantly convinced that he needed to take some bold steps towards the establishment of a cutting-edge ICT-driven institution that will advance Information Communication Technology at the tertiary level in Ghana.

The necessary documentation began in earnest. The name Regent was born. The college was subsequently registered in September 2003. With the assistance of a close associate, the tentative programmes of the College were developed. Staff recruitment drive was initiated. Other modalities were put in motion and exactly a year after, the University College was ready to take off, Regent University College was born! Ghana’s premier ICT-driven tertiary University College.

What appeared to have been an unkind treatment, became the springboard that catapulted the birth of Regent University College of Science and Technology, Ghana’s premier ICT driven tertiary University College. To God be the glory. It is indeed true that in every adversity there is an equal opportunity for success. God’s providence will always lead us to where he wants us to be.
