Procedure for the Submission of Thesis/Long Essays by all Students
- Students give thesis topic proposals to their Faculty Officers
- Faculty Officers submit all topic proposals to their respective HODs
- HODs discuss the topic proposals with their Deans to do the necessary corrections for approval and distribute approved topics to lecturers in their schools to supervise
- Supervisors begin work with the students and arrange seminars, workshops and training programs for the students in their departments/schools to help the students produce quality work
- When the Supervisors complete the work with the students and become satisfied, they (the Supervisor) submit same, duly signed to the HODs/Deans
- HODs/Deans assess the completed works and handover them over to the Internal Assessors to mark and grade
- Academic Office/Registrar to arrange for defense (viva) by the students
- Students effects all suggested corrections on the thesis after the viva and submit same to their Supervisor for approval
- Students will then submit approved signed work to their Faculty Officer/Dean
- Deans/Faculty Officer will submit completed long essay to the Registrar who will arrange to send them to the External Examiners for moderation
- External Examiners will submit the final marks and the marked script to the who will pass them on to the Academic Secretary/Exams Unit for the draft of results to be produced for Senate’s approval
