EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The course is designed as an individual health improvement and maintenance program, focusing on the concepts of wellness, positive lifestyles, individual health and fitness profiles. The course covers both physical and spiritual health. It includes a self-regulated training, exercise and monitoring program. The course will introduce students to the theory and practice of personal training (physical) throughout the student’s program of study. Students are also encouraged to do at least 30 minutes per week of focused mental exercise (meditation and quiet time of lateral thinking in a solitary place). Therefore, students will be evaluated based mainly on attendance/participation in the Community chapel services, endurance walk, gym workouts and community improvement programs such as a cleanup exercise.
COMMUNITY CHAPEL
Regent Community Chapel Services will be held at least six times in each academic year. Each student is expected to attend a minimum of four times.
Regent Community Work will take place once in each semester. Thus, there will be a total of eight improvement exercise by the time of graduation for a student in the eight-semester program.
GYM
Gym workouts are yet another important input into the health and fitness program. There will be two gym sessions for each student in each semester. It will be required of the student that he/she takes part in at least eight sessions before graduation.
A Regent-Ghana Endurance Walk will be held once in each semester. Students will be required to take part in a minimum of six such exercises to meet the requirement.
In summary, the student should meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the degree:

Owing to a few adjustments in the academic calendar, the date for each activity will be communicated to you by means of notice as and when it approaches.
Though this is a zero-credit course, the student is required to set aside ample time for spiritual and physical exercise every week for the entire duration of study. At the point of graduation, the course will be graded Pass or Incomplete. An incomplete implies that the student failed to satisfy the minimum requirement before being considered for the award of the degree. A pass will be given only when the minimum number of participation as indicated in the summary above is obtained and any other requirements, such as write-ups, have been duly fulfilled.
The Practical Experience Record Book
The Importance of The Practical Experience Record Book, popularly known as “The Green Book” cannot be undermined. The Green Book serves as a student’s diary that provides space for documenting the date and the activities that are organized by E.S.S. For students who are workers or self employed and are contemplating about Attachment/ Internship (one of the core functions of E.S.S), the green book offers you the liberty and the flexibility for performance assessment by your employer.
