    Admission Requirements 
    Five main categories of candidates are considered for admission to the Bachelor of Theology with Management Programme:

     

    1. General Certificate of Education (GCE): Passes, at least, at credit level in 5 subjects (including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject) in the GCE Ordinary Level and 3 passes at the GCE Advanced Level. Two of the advanced level passes must be grade ‘D’ or better. A pass in General Paper must also be
    obtained.

     

    2. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE): Passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects, with an aggregate score of 24 or better.

     

    3. West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE): Passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects in the WAEC Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.

     

    4. Mature Student’s Entry Requirement - (Mature Church Workers Requirement)
    i. Age: At least 29 years
    ii. The applicant must also pass the Mature Students Entrance Examination which 
    Comprises: 
    a) General Paper (including a section on English Language and Mathematics).
    b) Special Paper to test standard of achievement in subjects relevant to programmes for which the candidate is seeking admission and passing
    c) an interview.

     

    5. Foreign Students
    Foreign students may be considered for admission if they hold qualifications equivalent to those mentioned (1) and (2) above. However, they must show evidence of proficiency in English.

     

    Career Opportunities
    Graduates of this programme are well prepared to seek employment in Churches, chaplaincies in prisons and hospitals or teach Religious Studies in schools.  They may also be able to pursue postgraduate studies in areas such as Religious Studies, social work, Counselling or Administration.

     

    Master of Divinity (M.Div)

    Duration
    Three Years

     

    Entry requirements
    Entrance to the M. Div. programme requires a B.A. degree, or its equivalent, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.00 or better. An Applicant with a bachelor degree in an area other than  theology but possess at least three years of experience in church ministries may be considered for admission.

     

    M.Div. Career Opportunities
    The program’s content gives students a strong foundation for attaining a master’s of divinity degree.  A graduate of Master of Divinity is well-prepared for higher graduate study with many possible specializations. Apart from the ministerial emphasis, the critical thinking skills and open perspective offered by this program allows students to pursue professional degrees in a wide variety of fields such as counseling and education. 

    Some graduates of the program may choose a career in academia through doctoral study.  Some common career paths are the following: College chaplaincy, Hospital chaplaincy, Ordained parish ministry, Marriage and family counselor, Military Chaplaincy, National campus ministry organizations, Pastoral care, counseling and Prison Chaplaincy.

     

    Master of Theology (M.Th)
    Duration
    Two Years

     

    Entry requirements
    Applicants will have a Bachelor of Arts degree or its equivalent in Theological or Religious Studies from an approved university with a grade point average of 3.00 or second class lower.  Students who have Master of Divinity degree from an accredited theological institution may apply to complete a MTh in a minimum of one year.

     

    Career Opportunities
    Graduates of this programme are well prepared to seek employment in vocational counseling, guidance, in social services, pastoral ministries in Christian Churches, teaching in educational institutions and administration, chaplaincies in prisons and hospitals. They may also pursue doctoral studies in areas such as Religious Studies, Social Work, or Counseling.

    Teaching Schedule
    Lectures are held in the mornings, Evenings and over the weekend.
