Deepening the Ties: Regent-Ghana Plays host to an International Scholar
Regent University College of Science and Technology is privileged to host Dr. Henry M. Codjoe, the Director for Institutional Research and Planning of Dalton State College, Georgia, USA. Dr. Codjoe will facilitate a workshop on Institutional Effectiveness for management, deans and head of departments of Regent-Ghana from May 31-June 2, 2010. This workshop is in line with Regent-Ghana’s strategic objective of becoming a world class institution in the next ten (10) years.
It could be recalled that in October 2009, Regent University College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dalton State College to have, among other things, joint programmes in Associate of Science/Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation and Repair.
Under this agreement, those who will complete the first two years study of the nursing programme will be issued with Associate of Arts in Nursing Degree. Others can choose to do the remaining two more years in order to get the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Other programmes lined up under this MOU are: Pre-physicians Assistant, Medical Radiologic Technology/Science-Radiation Therapy Technology, Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic), Surgical Technology/Technologist, Respiratory Therapy, Pre-pharmacy/Pharmacy, Emergency Services Management and Medical Laboratory Technology.
Following this agreement, Dr. Cordia Starling, Associate Professor of Nursing, who is currently the Dean of the Nursing School of Dalton State College, will visit Regent University in June to begin the preparation for the nursing programme to begin.
